In May 2016, the international office supplies company Staples Inc. sold their UK stores to Hilco Capital. Some sores were closed or re-sited, and those that remained open were re-branded than as "Office Outlet", prior to an onward sale in 2018. "Office Outlet" then went into administration, with its last stores closing by July 2019. Any remaining "Staples" shops in the UK should be re-surveyed.
