Known Issues

• Both the Norfolk and Suffolk GIS Data shown on the maps seems to have a slight offset from the OSM base map. I think this is down to a bug in the software NCC used to generate lat/lon coordinates from their OSGB raw data. I haven't got round to discussing it properly with them yet though.
• Parish names in the GIS data abbreviate "Saint" to "St". Which should OSM use in the prow_ref tags? Similarly, there are some inconsistencies in capitalisation and use of hyphens in some multi-word parish names.
• There's currently no mechanism to allow anyone but me to update notes and mapping statuses for the RoWs, nor to import data from the definitive statements.

To Do List

• Provide a mechanism for users to update the OSM completion level and edit the notes for each RoW.
• Provide mechanism for users to record and edit Definitive Statement info in the tool.
• Remove the var= prefix from the GeoJSON files, so they just contain the GeoJSON objects. Move the comments and licence details to within the object. (Need to work out how to use plain GeoJSON into Leaflet, rather than using a predefined object variable as currently.)
• Automate data refreshes from OSM on a rolling basis. (Needs automated check on Overpass AIP loads.)
• Improve checks on modal access tags on PRoW ways, to include all access for BOATs and non-motorised vehicles for Restricted Byways. Can anything be done to check for access tags that allow too much access? Also take into account TROs that may alter things.
• Include infrastructure to be able to record Traffic Regulation Orders affecting rights of way, and check they have been recorded in OSM too. (This will need some machine-readable tagging of some sort too.)
• Remove XML entity references (e.g. ") from text fields such as fixme fetched from OSM.
• Expose <abbr> title text to mobile browsers.
• Would any additional information be useful in the tables on the main, county, and district pages? (% completion of RoWs, % of DS's imported,
• Link to OSM from each RoW line shown on the maps.
• Can we also check for access tags on designation=unclassified_highway tagged ways that aren't highway=unclassified or above?
• Autogenerate a google sitemap for the various pages generated by the tool.
• Set the last updated date on each page in a sensible manner.

• Has anyone written a Perl module that would allow me to use OSM's OpenAuth to authenticate users of the tool?
• Help is needed to encouage more Councils to release their PRoW GIS data under an open licence, and to make a regulaly updated file available online. Current status.
