1 FP Commences at the parish boundary with Hollesley at the south-west corner of field O.S. 25; also commencing at the junction with Footpath 2 Bawdsey at OS grid reference TM36404249 and proceeding in a northerly direction following the sea wall to OS grid reference TM36384259, then proceeds in a general easterly direction along "wing" wall skirting enclosure O.S.24 by Martello Tower, to join public road at Shingle Street.
Width: Wide enough for one person at a time; except between OS grid reference TM36404249 and OS grid reference TM36384259 1.2 metres.
2 FP Commencing at the junction with Footpath 6 Alderton at OS grid reference TM36354242 and proceeding in a north-easterly direction to the junction with Footpath 1 Bawdsey at OS grid reference TM36404249 then easterly across O.S. 19 to a point to the south-west of the Martello Tower, then in an easterly then in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 75 lineal yards to a point to the north-east of the Martello Tower, thence N.E. along shingle on seaward side of all Shingle Street properties.

3 BR Landmark path. Eastward from Ferry Road opposite pond (O.S. 256) across O.S. 259 along northern boundary of O.S. 265 to cliff edge.

5 FP Commencing at the corner pillar of Quay Cottages at grid reference 33153785; thence via a wooden step leading to the shingle beach, continuing in a generally southerly direction along the shingle beach alongside a wooden slatted fence for approximately 100 metres leading to a steel slatted fence at grid reference 33153775; continuing in the same direction but over scrubland, between the steel sheet piled coast protection wall to the west and the RAF Bawdsey chain link protection fence to the east for approximately 95 metres to grid reference 33153766, then in a south-easterly direction over scrubland generally following the chain link fence for approximately 80 metres to grid reference 33213761, then in a general easterly direction over scrubland for approximately 155 metres to join the beach at grid reference 33363764; then changing to a general east-north-easterly direction passing over a shingle strip (known locally as "The Promenade") supported above the normal beach level by the steel sheet piled coast protection wall, with the chain link fence and the Bawdsey Manor to the north, for a distance of approximately 455 metres to grid reference 33733787, then continuing at the normal beach level in the same direction keeping to the base of Bawdsey cliffs for approximately 1910 metres to a point approximately 30 metres south of the eastern end of BR3 at grid reference 35133913, then in a generally northerly direction up the cliffs for approximately 30 metres to join BR3 at grid reference 35133916.
6 BY Commencing at the southern end of the C346 road at grid reference 33173795 and proceeding in a generally southerly direction along a metalled road for approximately 70 metres to the northern edge of the tarmacadam quay at grid reference 33183788, then incorporating the perimeter of the quay by progressing in a general westerly direction along the northern edge of the quay, along the southern side of the jetty for approximately 46 metres to the north-western corner of the quay at grid reference 33133788, then progressing in a general southerly direction along the western edge of the quay for approximately 18 metres to the south-western corner of the quay at grid reference 33133786, then curving in a general east-south-easterly direction along the southern edge of the quay, passing along the northern side of Quay Cottages for approximately 52 metres to the south-eastern corner of the quay adjacent to the property known as no. 1 Quay Cottages at grid reference 33183785, then curving in a general north-north-easterly direction passing along the western side of the property formerly known as West Gate Lodge for approximately 22 metres to the driveway leading to Bawdsey Manor and the eastern edge of the quay at grid reference 33193786 and then curving in a generally north-north-westerly direction for approximately 22 metres to rejoin the approach road at the northern edge of the quay at grid reference 33183788 and including the whole of the area of the quay.
Width as defined by the boundaries shown on the Ordnance Survey Map (1926) 1:2500 between grid references 33173795 and 33183788 between a minimum of 6 metres and a maximum of 7 metres.
7 FP Commencing at the eastern end of East Lane (U3722) at grid reference TM35754005, the path progresses in a south-easterly direction for 30 metres to a set of steps (immediately south of the gun emplacement) at grid reference TM35784003; continuing northwards along the top of the seawall for 420 metres to a gate at a grid reference TM35814044; continuing for 768 metres past a martello tower on the west to a gate at grid reference TM35924119; and continues along the top of the seawall for 448 metres to the junction with Footpath 12, Alderton at grid reference TM36074161.
Width: 2 metres minimum - 4 metres maximum (limited by the width of the sea wall).

8 BY Commencing at OS grid reference TM 3668542645 at its junction with the southern end of the C340 road and proceeding in a south easterly direction as a tarmacadam track, passing alongside the south western side of the property known as "Ronina" for a distance of 27 metres to OS grid reference TM 3670242628, then curving in a general southerly direction for a further 13 metres to its junction with Footpath 2 Bawdsey at OS grid reference TM 3670442619, a total distance of 40 metres.
Width: 3.7 metres.
