1 BR Commencing at the Ashby Parish boundary at Grid Reference 49839921 and progressing as a hardcore track in a generally easterly direction along the southern edge of arable Field Parcel No 0029 with arable Field Parcel No 0003 to the south for approximately 340 metres to Grid Reference 50169914; continuing in the same direction as a hardcore track in a hedge lined lane with arable Field Parcel No 2818 to the north and arable Field Parcel No 1800 to the south for approximately 290 metres to the western side of the C904 road alongside the Village Maid public house at Grid Reference 50449919.
Width: approximately 3 metres.
2 FP From footpath No. 3 to Banker's Hill, Lound. Leaves No. 3 F.P. at last stile on north. In first field runs due west by hedge on south (this hedge supported by barbed wire fence - two strands 2ft to 2ft 6ins high) to cross hedge north of Lodge Farm. Enters next field by iron field gate with sliding latch (no stile) continues in a westerly direction and then in a north-north-easterly direction to field gate in corner (where O.S. Field Nos. 190, 192, 193 and 203 meet), where it enters a farm lane and passing a copse on the south goes straight on and then turns north and emerges on road at Methodist Chapel on Banker's Hill.
3 FP Starts on north side of Back Lane beyond houses west of Bloodman's Corner at low broken stile (no step) and runs north for 50 yards as narrow path between field hedge on east to dilapidated stile (step decayed, bars loose). The next field has been drilled and sown, path obliterated and not reinstated. Path crosses this field to another dilapidated stile on north side of which is junction with F.P.2. Path continues with hedge and low barbed wire fence on east to field gate in wooden fence (no stile) then as grass cart-track between wire fences to parish boundary.
4 FP Starts on north side of Back Lane, midway between Elder Farm and Bloodman's Corner, at a dilapidated field gate with space for stile (no stile now) and runs N.W.N. along very rough grass track across ploughed field to wooden stile (step) in good condition. Next field has recently been planted with young fir trees and path goes straight on through plantation by grass track about 6 ft. wide between two fences of wire netting descending to either grass track between dry ditches and then dykes in an older plantation to culvert (brick) and bridge with rails over Hopton Run at Hopton Parish boundary.
Width varies from 3ft to 6ft.
5 FP From road west of Hopton House Grounds, Lound, to Jay Lane, Lound.
Width. Uncultivated strip by hedge about 3ft. wide.
6 FP From Jay Lane to junction with No. 7 Boyton Lane.
Width: Wide enough for farm vehicles.
7 FP From Main Road A12 to south end of Boyton Lane.
Width: Wide enough for farm waggons etc.
8 FP Starts on south side of Jay Lane, west of Sargent's Nurseries and a few yards east from southend of No. 15, at a field gate with single horizontal wooden bar about 2ft from ground on west side (probably remains of decayed stile). Runs through next field gate but appears to have been diverted to east side of hedge; half-way along this field the hedge ends and a barbed wire fence (4 strands, 1 new) occurs; at second field gate path is badly cut up by cart wheels. Path continues south along narrow grass strip (about 2 ½ ft. wide) across open field ascends slightly, then down a dip and up again to hedge coming in from east. Proceeds straight on passing tree-lined pit on east, near which it crosses the Blundeston boundary.
Width: Grass strip in open field barrow - about 2 to 2 1/2ft.
9 FP From Back Lane, Lound, to Church Lane, Lound. Starts from loke in Back Lane, just east of Vine Cottage, near Bloodman's Corner, and passing between corrugated iron cartsheds near a farmhouse, where loke turns right, path bears left, with bridge on right and ditch on left and then crosses ditch near a large decayed tree to wooden fence with stile (step) in centre at Cuckoo Green. Thence path continues due south, with hedge on right, to field gate with wooden bar about 3ft. high on right. Path ends in Church Lane opposite white gates leading to a farmhouse.
9A FP From F.P. No. 9 south of Cuckoo Green to F.P. No. 10.
Width: Between 4 and 8ft.
10 FP From Lound Village Street to Cuckoo Green, Lound. Begins at east side of village street at loke, with houses opposite Post Office. At east end of loke crosses dilapidated wooden stile passes brick farm building on north and continues eastwards over field with barbed wire fence on south fence has three or four strands of barbed wire, towards end of field, reaches deep tree-lined pit round which it bears north and then east and emerges by iron field gate into private road to Church Farm, turns north for 20 yards. and then east through gap in hedge and along grass strip over long field and joins No. 9 at decayed tree near wooden stile.
Width: Grass strip in eastern field about 3ft. wide.
11 FP From St. John the Baptist's Church, Lound to junction with No. 10.
Width: About 4ft. between hedges.
12A FP From Blundeston Road, Lound to Somerleyton Road, Lound (and continued as 12B).
12B FP From Somerleyton Road, Lound to lane at Kelly's Farm, Ashby (via F.P.14) (continuation of F.P.12A).
13 FP From the junction of the road to Eastwood Farm, Lound, via Earth Lane to Ordnance Survey grid reference TM50219869 and then continuing in a meandering predominantly southerly direction for a distance of approximately 172 metres and then in a meandering predominantly southerly direction passing up two sets of wooden steps for a distance of approximately 20 metres and then in a meandering predominantly westerly direction for a distance of approximately 26 metres to Ordnance Survey grid reference TM50179851; thence to junction with footpath 12(B).
Width: a minimum of 1.5 metres between Ordnance Survey grid reference TM50219869 and TM50179851
Limitations: Two sets of wooden steps on path between approximate grid references TM50209853 and TM50199852
13A FP From Eastwood Farm Lane to F.P.13 In Town Pits. At west end of Earth Lane, at a triangular grasspatch, where F.P.13 runs south west to the Town Pits, path continues west along the farm road to Eastwood Farm and, passing some allotments on the south, reaches a farm gate, at which it turns south east to rejoin F.P.13 in the Town Pits.
14 FP From the junction with F.P.'s 12 and 13 to public land at Kelly's Farm, Ashby. - Starts from wooden stile (step) close to barbed wire fence at junction with F.P.'s 12 and 13. Runs west along parish boundary with ditch, separated by barbed wire fence on south to a pond. Turns N.W. round pond to Ordnance Survey grid reference TM50079846 in a meandering predominantly southerly direction skirting the pond at the south of Ordnance Survey field number 0056 for a distance of approximately 35 metres and then in a west south westerly direction following the southern boundary of Ordnance Survey field number 0056 for a distance of approximately 81 metres to Ordnance Survey grid reference TM49999842 at the Ashby, Lound Parish boundary.
Width: a minimum of 1.5 metres from Ordnance Survey grid reference TM50079846 to end
