1 BR Candy Lane. Entrance at Valley Farm proceeding in a north-easterly direction diagonally across a field for about 300 yards, then through the lane terminating at a point about 100 yards west of the "Retreat".
Width: Average width 4 ft.
2 FP No name. Commencing at the summit of Foxborough Hill in a southerly direction to the junction of paths 2 and 21 at the north end of Doe's Alley.
Width: From the commencement to the end of the plantation is from 6 to 10 feet, the remainder 3 to 5 feet.
3 BR No name. Starts at a point south of the Yarmouth Road in a southerly direction along the parish boundary via Foxborough Hall Farm, thence to the summit of Foxborough Hill.
Width mostly 10 feet.
4 BR No name. From the road leading to St. Audry's Hospital South Lodge, in a north-westerly direction to the parish boundary near the Yarmouth Road.
Width: Except for a section in the centre which is four feet, it is 8 to 10 feet.
5 FP Jews Lane. Commences near Upper Melton Terrace, on main Woodbridge-Ufford Road westwards to Hospital Lane, terminating by old jews burial grounds.
Width approximately 4 feet.
6 FP No name. Commences at Decoy Farm, proceeding through wide lane for 200 yards, then at the side of a field to Brick Kiln Farm terminating at junction of paths Nos. 8 and 10.
7 FP River Wall. Commences at Wilford Bridge proceeding along to River course and terminating at the "Iron Bridge" (Railway bridge). No further right of way known beyond that point.
8 BR No name. Commences at a point near Wilford Bridge (north side) and continues in a northerly direction for approximately 600 yards terminating at a point approximately 200 yards north of railway crossing, joining path No. 10 at point of termination.
Width approximately 10 feet for first 450 yards and then approximately 1 to 2 feet wide, 15 feet wide at commencement for only 10 yards.
9 FP Starts at Old Melton Dock and commences along bank of River Deben in an easterly direction until reaching main road at Wilford Bridge. No name other than River Wall.
Width: Average width 2½ feet.
10 BR Part of Waterhead Lane. Commences at a point approximately 200 yards north of railway crossing and proceeds in a westerly direction for about 350 yards terminating at junction of paths Nos. 11 and 12.
Width: Average width 2 to 3 feet.
11 BR Waterhead Lane. Commences at a point approximately 200 yards south-east of Gardeners Cottage to Greylands and proceeds north-west for a distance of approximately 400 yards terminating at junction with main Yarmouth Road opposite rear entrance to Melton Lodge.
Width: Average width 5 to 6 feet.
12 FP No name. Commences at a point adjacent to St. Andrew's Church (east side) and proceeds in a north-easterly direction for approximately 350 yards, terminating at junction of paths nos. 10 and 11.
13 FP Commencing at a point on the north side of Dock Lane at approximately 80 yards in a north westerly direction from the railway and leading in a north easterly direction along the western boundary of Matthes Depot over land situate at Ordnance Survey Field No. 75 in the Parish of Melton for a distance of approximately 93 yards; then running in an easterly and then northerly direction along a path for a distance of approximately 65 metres to a point south of the Wilford Bridge Road; then continues past E. B. Sub Station to a point on the southern boundary of the A1152 relief road.
Width: Approximately four feet in width over Ordnance Survey Field No. 75; then 1.2 metres for a distance of approximately 65 metres.
14 FP Dock Lane. From junction of paths 13, 15 and 16 to river embankment, beyond level crossing to junction of paths 9 and 17.
Width 10 to 12 feet.
15 FP Dock Lane. From Coach and Horses Inn to junction of paths 13, 14 and 16.
Width 10 to 12 feet.
16 FP No name. Starts at a point on Ipswich-Yarmouth Road approximately 250 yards south-west of Coach and Horses Inn to a point at the southern end of the private driveway leading to Oak View and continuing along the western side of the driveway in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 96 lin. yards to a point at its junction with Dock Lane.
Width 6 feet to first stile site, after which there is no recognised width.
17 FP Commences at Maltings, junction of paths 9 and 14 continues along river wall to parish boundary at disused derelict wharf. Affected by small diversion order made 1959.
Width approximately 2 feet.
18 FP Love Lane. From Hackney to Pytches Road.
Width 5 to 10 feet.
19 FP Leeks Hill. From Hackney to Woods Lane.
Width varying between 5 to 15 feet.
20 BR Gipsy Lane. From a point just north of the entrance to Bury Hill on the Bredfield Road terminating at a point about 100 yards west of the main entrance to Longsprings in Woods Lane.
Width: Average width 6 feet.
21 BR Holly Lane. From a point just west of main entrance to Longsprings in Woods Lane in a northerly direction and terminating at County road south-east of Valley Farm.
Width: Average width 4 feet.
22 FP Mount Misery. From a point opposite The Hermitage in a south-westerly direction diagonally across meadow to the junction of Doe's Alley near its south end.
23 FP No name. Commences on north side of Cemetery Road about 100 yards from entrance to Old Mill House, crosses field (cutting off a corner) terminating at an "S" bend on road to Lower Ufford.
24 BR Whitchpit Road, Melton.
26 FP Commencing at the B1438 Melton Road at grid reference TM 2775 4966 and proceeding on a stone-surfaced track in a north-westerly direction for 35 metres to grid reference TM 2772 4967; continuing in a north-north-westerly direction as a sandy track bordered on both sides by residential development for 120 metres to grid reference TM 2770 4979; changing to a north-easterly direction on a gravel surface for 180 metres to grid reference TM 2782 4992; changing to a south-easterly direction on a tarmac road for 60 metres terminating at grid reference TM2786 4988 adjacent to a filling station forecourt on the B1438 Melton Road.
Width: Varying between a minimum of 2 metres and a maximum of 7.9 metres.
27 BR Commencing on the B1438, adjacent to the parish boundary with Ufford and opposite the drive to The Ufford Park Hotel at OS grid reference TM28995184 and proceeding in a west south westerly direction along a natural surface track for 40 metres to OS grid reference TM28965184; changing to a generally westerly direction and continuing along a grass track for 266 metres, passing to the north of Whitwell House, to the junction with Footpath No. 21 at OS grid reference TM28705189; continuing for 78 metres to join a private road at OS grid reference TM28635191.
Width: As shown by the boundaries on OS Map, edition 1927 sheet 68/9. Scale 1:2500, varying between a minimum of 2 metres and a maximum of 3 metres as shown by the parish boundary line and the southern solid field boundary line between OS grid reference TM28995184 and TM28745188.
